When you open an IPTV player app for the first time, it usually asks for three things: a Username, a Password and a Server URL. Together, these make up what is commonly called an Xtream Codes login. It looks technical at first glance, but once you know what each field does, it is no harder than signing in to any other streaming app.

This guide explains the Xtream Codes login in plain English, shows how to enter your details correctly on a Fire TV Stick or Smart TV, and covers the small mistakes that cause most failed logins. The same principles apply to almost any app that asks how to log in to an IPTV service, wherever you are.

What Is an Xtream Codes Login?

Xtream Codes is the name of a login format that many IPTV player apps support. Instead of loading a long playlist file, the app connects to the service using your account details and then downloads the channel list, categories and TV guide for you. It is popular because it keeps everything organized and makes it easy to update your channel list without re-entering anything.

In the app, this option is usually labeled something like Xtream Codes API, Xtream Login or Login with Xtream Codes.

The Three Fields, One by One

Username

Your Username identifies your subscription. It is sent to you in your subscription email after purchase. It may contain a mix of letters and numbers, and it is case-sensitive in many apps, so copy it exactly as written.

Password

The Password works together with the Username. Like the Username, it is case-sensitive, and it often contains characters that are easy to confuse, such as the number zero and the capital letter O, or a lowercase l and a capital I.

Server URL

The Server URL is the address the app connects to. It normally starts with http:// and may end with a colon followed by a port number. Both parts matter. If your email includes a port number, leave it in place; if it does not, do not add one.

How to Enter Your Login Details

The exact screens differ from app to app, but the order of steps is almost always the same:

  1. Install your player app. We recommend IBO Player Pro.
  2. Open the app and choose the Xtream Codes login option.
  3. Enter a name for the profile if the app asks for one. This is only a label, so anything works.
  4. Enter your Username, Password and Server URL from your subscription email.
  5. Confirm, then wait while the app loads your channels and guide.

Xtream Codes vs M3U: What Is the Difference?

Some apps and devices offer a second way to connect: an M3U link, sometimes called a playlist URL. An M3U link is a single web address that points to a playlist of channels. It works, but it is a longer address and some apps handle the TV guide separately when you use it.

  • Xtream Codes: three short fields, with channels, categories and the guide usually loaded together. This is the easiest choice for most apps.
  • M3U link: one long address. It is useful for devices or apps that only accept playlists, such as some Linux-based receivers.
  • Portal URL: used by MAG boxes, which connect through a portal address rather than either of the options above.

Our installation page shows which method each supported device uses.

Tips for Entering Details Without Mistakes

  • Use a phone keyboard if you can. The Amazon Fire TV app and most Smart TV remote apps let you type on your phone instead of with arrow keys.
  • Watch for automatic capital letters. Some on-screen keyboards capitalize the first letter of a field without asking.
  • Check the very end of each field for a stray space, which is invisible but enough to break the login.
  • Keep your email open on your phone while you type so you can compare character by character.
  • Store your details somewhere safe and private. Treat them like any other password.

Troubleshooting a Rejected Login

"Invalid Username or Password"

Delete both fields and type them again from scratch. Pay special attention to look-alike characters and capital letters. If you copied and pasted, check that no spaces came along with the text.

"Server Not Responding" or a Blank Screen

This usually points to the Server URL. Make sure it starts with http:// exactly as in your email and that any port number at the end is included. Then check that your device is online by opening another app.

The Login Worked Yesterday but Not Today

Restart the app and the device first. If the problem continues, contact our support team with the name of your device and app, and we will help you check your details.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Server URL the same as a website address?

It looks similar, but it is meant for your player app, not a web browser. Opening it in a browser usually will not show anything useful.

Can I use the same login on another device?

You can enter your details in an app on a different device, but check your subscription terms for how many devices can stream at the same time.

Do I need to re-enter my login after an app update?

Usually not. Most apps keep your profile after an update. If one asks you to log in again, use the same details from your email.

What should I do if I lost my subscription email?

Check your spam or promotions folder first. If you still cannot find it, contact our support team and we will help you recover your details.

Get Connected

Once you understand the three fields, logging in takes a minute on almost any device. If you are ready to get your own login details, choose a plan and you will receive everything you need by email.
